Punta Brava to Bring $400M Investment to Ensenada (AFN Report)
Today's Agencia Froneteriza de Noticias (AFN) or Border News Agency reported on a public meeting held on Monday in Ensenada regarding the development of Punta Brava, future home of Tiger Woods' first oceanfront golf course. The complete report can be read in Spanish

A summary of the meeting and the report are as follows:
Construction will begin in 2009 with direct development investments of approximately $400M;
The developer expects important economic benefits to the existing yacht harbor;
Archaelogical and environmental impacts will be observed in keeping with Mexico's laws and The Flagship Group is already working with the appropriate government agencies;
Guests are expected from Dubai, Asia, England, the US, and other parts of the world;
The project will create 800 direct jobs during construction and between 250 and 300 direct jobs for operations;
The development will depend largely on local materials and service providers.
